GraylakeDoes anybody use the Leupold Varmint Reticle?
I am looking for a new scope for my 22-250. I use this rifle for everything from gophers to coyotes.
I am curious if anybody has used the varmint reticle and is it accurate?
I know that some people have used the B&C reticle on there bigger rifles for hunting and the like it, but I have not heard about the varmint reticle.
Thanks

WunderDogI just picked one of these up for my Swift. I have it mounted and took it to the range just to shoot at 100. I haven't had the opportunity to try the different ranges with this reticle yet though. I will get to that as soon as we get some improved weather. It needs to get done before the woodchucks start showing themselves.

BushchookGraylake ,
I've had one for a few months and made a few good shots with it . Bear in mind that you can adjust the power setting up or down from Leupold's recommended settings to fine tune the reticle to your rifle's trajectory . Can also adjust the range at which you zero the rifle to get it really close .
Ideally an exterior ballistics program and some range time are needed to make the most of it .

GraylakeThanks for the help guys.
I am really considering this scope.
I have also been thinking about a way to use the ranging feature for coyotes. Since a coyotes ribcage is bigger that the 2.33 moa, say 3 moa then that would make the coyotes around 386 yards.
Since I use this rifle/scope combination for both types of varminting I need a scope that is dual purpose.
Thanks again
