twist rate for 22PPC?
I am about to start this project to build a 22PPC, first I have to buy a factory rifle for the catalog number, then the only thing I need to maintain is the length of the barrel(and catalog number).

What would be the best twist rate for shooting mainly 35gn to 55grn bullets? 1:14?

1/14 is far and away the most common. the ppc was designed for and is primarily only used for (and not even that much nowadays) as a light BR class gun. it shoots best with light bullets and is very accurate. the problem of course, is that it doesnt shoot heavy bullets as well. that is why most BR guns in the light class now have gone the way of the 6ppc or another of the 6mm BR calibers. they are more consistant in the wind. it does make a good 2-300 yd PD gun tho, but of course, brass costs go up.
