uplandrCZ 527 Varmint .204
I just returned a poor grouping 700LVSF(204R) and came home with a 527 Varmint. Nice piece of wood on it, better triggger. Swapped my Leupold 6x18 onto it. Going to try HSM 32gr Blitz Kings first. Who else shoots one of these? Thanks.

killa killai haven't shot one of these, but i definitely have this gun on my wish list. its actually going to be my next rifle. let me know how it shoots.
i've been looking into .204's, and i like the feel of the 527 varmint. its got great overall balance and i like the single-set trigger. good luck.
shoot first, ask questions later....

uplandrStupid me, I had a standard 527 that I sold to buy the Remington. It was a great shooter. I expect the heavy barrel to perform as well, I'll post results as soon as I can. Thanks.

boojo35I just purchased a Savage 12 FV. I have loaded 32 gr vmax, 40 gr vmax, 40 gr berger and 45 gr hornady sp. I used varget for all the loads. Between the different bullets and amounts of powder, I tried 13 different loads. 12 of the 13 were .8 inch or less. I think the .204 is a definate keeper.
Good shootin'

rugeruserIf it shoots anything like my 527 American in 223, (totally untouched) you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful rifle..

Ditto.
I have a 527 Varmint in .223 with the blonde maple stock. It looks good and is an absolute shooter.
If your 527 is anything like mine, you will not be disappointed. The trigger is amazing.

John DunhamI have the varmint with the HS Precision Kevlar stock in 204. What a shooter, I am very impressed with it. It shoots 1/4 all day long with the Hornady 32 grain vmax factory loads. It is death on woodchucks here in the northeast. I made some great shots with it this past summer. I can't recommend this gun enough for the money.

My CZ 527 American in .222 really is a beauty to look at and hold, but like some women in the same catagory performance leaves a lot to be desired.

On a good day with the right load three shots may MOA.

tpedI just bought the 527 varmint over the weekend in 204. Hopefully will get to shoot it this weekend to see how she does. I will primarily use this for coyote & bobcat so should I stay with the 32 grain or go with the 40 vmax or 39 blitrzking load

SilverfoxIf you want to save the fur on those coyotes and bobcats, try the 35 gr. FB HP Berger bullets. A good load that works in a lot of .204 Ruger rifles is 28.0 gr. of H4895 and the Remington 7 1/2 primer.
