Kimber 84M scope bases (non-leupold)
Is there another 2 piece scope base available for the 84M? I just acquired a Longmaster VT in .22-250 and really don't care for the Leupold style bases or rings. I have Badger ordinance on most of my other rigs and would prefer a weaver type mount if possible.

Talley has a couple of options. I'm putting a set of their aluminum rings/bases on my Kimber Montana, and am using their standard steel fixed rings on a 22-250. I was using Leupold weaver style, but was unimpressed with the misalignment between base and ring, and subsequent bending of the edge of the cross slot on the base. Tonight I replaced my last set of Leupold mounts with another set of Talley fixed, on my .300 Jarrett.

Warne lists bases for the Kimber 84M.

I have not seen these bases but want to try them.

I have the Talley steel mounts here and I don't like their design, finish or price.
