I was wondering what bullet is the most explosive varmint bullet for the velocities that a 10" 222 rem contender could produce,(apr. 2600 fps) I was thinking bullets ranging from 40 - 50 grs. would be the best for this set up.

I have in mind the 50 gr. speer TnT,
50 gr. hornady sxsp
35 gr-40 gr. v-max
50 gr. sierra blitz
40 gr. sierra hornet/?????

What would you guys suggest for me, i am looking for a bullet with good accuracy but also extreme explosive characteristics.

I have done a lot of varminting but always with a 26" barreled 22-250. So im not sure what bullets are best for the 2600fps velocity range i would be getting out of my 10" 222.

I've had great results with the Hornady 223 SXSP bullets in my XP-100 with it's 15" barrel. They designed them for the lower velocities of pistol barrels and they seem to work well.
