223/Blue Dot Users: What bullet do you prefer?
Just wondering what any of the fellow Blue Dot 223 crowd is using for bullets for prairie dog/ground squirrel/gopher loads?

I traditionally use bullets of 55 grains or less with 12.5 grains of B.D. Velocity is 2600 fps regardless of bullet weight.

Last year my favorite load was with a Speer 50 grain TNT.
Of course the shortage of them this year is that Speer probably heard that I personally liked the bullet so they either quit making it, or are just slowly down their production of it.
( I must be the curse for any product, as soon as I start using it, it is no longer made, or is no longer plentiful, and becomes hard to get).

Was playing with a load for a walking varminter ( Winchester Featherweight in 223) with a load of 13.5 grains of blue dot and a Sierra 40 grain HP. Will see how that does at the range, as soon as the current Pacific Storm subsides.

Look forward to what others are using. This is a great powder for 223 high volume shooting.

Cheers,
Seafire

I've been using 40 grain Ballistic Tips with pretty good success. Been getting sub 1" groups. I tried some 50 grain TNT's and got 2" plus groups!

I'm using the 50 grain vmax with good results, sub one inch groups and good performance in the field
