redialFirst gophers!
We don't need no stinking robins, the first gophers of Spring tell us what time of year it is!
I had an idle two hours yesterday so I put my CZ in the Gopherbuggy (91 S-10 Blazer with little remaining paint) and pulled out to glass some fields. Didn't make it that far!
The neighbor-lady's driveway had rats darting back and forth for a quarter mile, so I did a quick U-turn to go back for my air rifle (FWB 124). Pasted the first 8 of the year, headshots before I had to get home to meet my kid's schoolbus.
Better'n drugs and therapy, I tell ya.

CoyoteKiller82Congrats

I was hoping for a mid April start to gopher hunting up here in Canada, but alas, the weather turned a couple of days ago and all the snow that melted previously has returned for who knows how long

bigvarmintThat is the best therapy! You are very LUCKY! Why would political fools want to deprive lawful people getting HELP for themselves. We aren't adding to the cost of healthcare! You would think the money and perks they get should keep them busy.

redial we had a lotta sun a couple weeks back and love was definitely in the air! They were chasing each other and rolling around in gopher balls everywhere.
Here's to hoping they are down their cozy little gopher holes incubating a fresh batch of targets as I sit here and whine

.
Save a few for seed amigo.

redialGood bourbon helps, I hear. Bulleit and Elijah Craig are among my favorite "it's still winter" remedies.
