WesternmassmanChoke for "Dead-Coyote" shotshells
Can anyone recommend a choke tube for these "dead-coyote" T shotgun shells? Do they work as advertised?

I'd pattern the shotgun with the full choke to see what it looks like. I have two shotguns that I use for turkey both have extra full Turkey chokes. A 10 GA. Browning BPS and a Remington 12 GA. 870. The Browning will pattern 4, 5 and 6's about equaly well. However the Remington doesn't shot 4's worth a damn with the turkey choke. The full might work for you but with the bigger heavier non-lead shot my guess is that a Improved Modified or a Modified is going to be where you end up. Neither of my guns will shoot buckshot best with the regular full choke (number 4 buck).

tnyotehunterperhaps this might help.these are some tests i did out of various chokes, ect:
today i went out ot try various loads in my shotgun for coyote hunting.this ofcourse is not scientific, but maybe will help some of you.i shot @ 40 yards off a bench using a sinclair rifle rest.my shotgun was a remington super mag with a 26" barrel with a 4x prodiamond scope in weaver mounts.i used the NRA coyote life size targets.all the hits here were in the vitials.sorry no pictures
1 patternmaster using rem 31/2 "B" hevi-shot with 1 3/4 oz shot.1300 fps.36 hits in the vitials.
2 coyote choke tube killer(jonny stewart) federal "BB" lead with 1 7/8 oz shot. 25 hits
3 wad wizard using the remington "B" 3 1/2 same as above. 23 hits
4 wad wizard using federal "BB" lead.same load as above. 28 hits.
5 pattern master using dead coyote load(hevi-shot) T shot with 1 5/8 oz load. 24 hits
6 wad wizard using dead coyote load(hevi-shot) T shot with 1 5/8 oz load. 14
7 patternmaster using federal BB lead with 1 7/8 oz load. 30 hits.
maybe this will help someone.
the patternmaster was about 89$, the wad wizard was about 100$,
in my never ending quest for the best pattern out of my shotgun,i patterned some loads for coyotes.all shots were done @ 40 yards using a 870 supermag, with a 4x simmons.i was using NRA lifesize coyote targets
winchester 3" #4buck supreme copper plated using a rem full choke.17 hits in the head area.i took the advice and just aimed for the head area.
dead coyote T shot 31/2 with 1 5/8 oz with HS waterfowl choke(.700 constriction) 23 hits
remington 'B' hevi-shot 31/2 13/4 oz 1300 fps with hs waterfowl choke 17 hits in head area
federal ultra shock 31/2 BB tungsten-iron 1 5/8 oz with HS waterfowl choke 22 hits.
while i was there i patterned some turkey loads.using the same gun with a rhino choke tube(.660)
winchester supreme 31/2 with 2 oz of #5 34 shots in vitial area
federal 3" 1 3/4 oz #5 mag-shok high velocity copper plated 25 shots in vitals
nitro company hevi shot 4x5x7 1/2 21/4 oz shot 1200 fps 101 shots in vital
hevi-13 #6 3" 13/4 oz shot 57 shots.
hope this helps someone. thanks

Some good information to be found on the Predator Masters web site concerning shotguns and large shot either lead or hevishot.
tnyotehunter gave you a good rundown of his efforts to shoot the ultimate pattern.
What gun are you shooting? If it is not an overbore barrel you will probably do well with a .675 extended choke designed for the hevishot.

WesternmassmanInteresting test results. Thanks
I have a 1300 winchester turkey special with lengthened forcing cone, and burnished bore. I have a Gilmore Red Dot mounted with a saddle mount. With my rhino choke and Nitro shells I can get 230 hits in a 10" circle @ 40 yds. I will use the same shotgun setup for yotes, but with a different choke.
I will check out the other web site.
