I recently purchased a 917v from the local Wally world for $156 and tax. Man does this thing shoot. You can't beat it for the money. Its a must have at this price.

The 17 HMR is very accurate out of the Marlin rifles.
I have had a Marlin 882SSV 22 mag that shoot great.

IMO the 22 Mag is better for yotes (bullet weight and pennatration )and the 17 HMR ( because of less drop) works a little better on chuck sized varmits.
