groundhog devastationHell of a "cherrying in" of a rifle! just dawned on me tonight!!
On Monday(Labor Day) of this past week I took Bobby Brown and we went to the "Hallowed Fields" of varminting in VA hopefully to get at least 3 people into the 1000 yard club on varmints. (Bobby needs no intrduction to this elite bunch! He has over 25 confirmed, witnessed kills on groundhogs at distances up to 1525 yards!!) John and I were hoping to join the group. It just dawned on me that The only goundhog killed with MY 6mmRem VLS that day was it's first and only kill to date.............832 yards! Now that's "cherrying in a rifle"! We spent time shooting the 17 Fireball(MORE FUN THAN EATIN BEANS!!!) and the 223(Bobby) but the long shot of the day(and I will admit it was the second shot at this particular groundhog.........(probably 10 minutes from first to second)...........that means I was damn close on the first one!!) Anyway, never dawned on me until tonight that that was the only groundhog or any varmint that this rifle has ever shot at! Tomorrow if time permits after work (Rifle is in the work truck!) I'll try it a bit more!! GHD

GeedubyaJust picked up a 6mm vls the other day. Hadn't had a 6mm rem since I sold my b-78 a couple of years ago. Been thinking about sniping ravens and starlings, as we have no whistepigs down here.
