Plinker603Coyotes
My neighbor was tellng me about a guy 3 miles from here who is shooting a lot of coyotes. I never see any and never hear any. I went deer hunting often this year, looks like if there was coyotes around i'd have seen some???
Come to think of it, i know there's foxes, but i never see them either. My stepdad used to pen a chicken up in the woods and set steel traps around it for foxes. I'd probably have to use a frozen Purdue roaster.
But anyway, you have to see them before you can shoot them. How do you know for sure if there are coyotes around and how do you hunt them?

PPoseyWhere ya at in WV,,,I lived near Beckley and hunted alot up in the Monhogahella or how ever ya spell it nat forest, there were yotes all around then and that was in the early 1990s
It would be alot like yote hunting around here in Western NC, woods hunting is harder I think because of the lack of visability, they can come in a bust ya quick before you see them, I shot one last year at very close range 10-15 yards at most coming at a dead run right to me,
I use a 22 mag,12 ga with 3 inch #4 buck, and 7mm-08, all depends on the game laws and where I am hunting. Here are two sites where the info is good and easy to find.
http://www.varmintal.com/ahunt.htmgreat sound files and he dosn't mind ya downloading them
and
http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/index.php?s=6829494c9ea9864129e531b4bf020896&act=idxgood site for preditor info even if ya arn't in TX, most of these guys hunt the wide open spaces but alot of the same info helps in eastern woodland hunting.
here are a couple I got last year in NC
