rjrtaxidermyelectronic predator calls
hey guys just wondering what type of calls are good to use this time of year? Im trying to get into coyote hunting and just wondering if different sounds are better for different seasons, morning/night and so on. any tips would be good. I just got permission on a 200 acre farm with several corn and hay fields to hunt predators. thanks

tnekkccI was coyote hunting with a guy with an electronic caller in the Yakima Firing Range, a military reservation, over a draw in the sage brush.
We were all camouflaged and waiting for a coyote when we turned on the noise of a tortured rabbit.
Instead of a coyote, a herd of elk came up out of the draw and stood there looking curiously at the noise.
Had it been a week later, one of the elk would have got a varmint bullet in the head.

BlowoffYou can use a cottontail or jackrabbit in distress at night or during the day. I also use a yellow headed woodpecker with good results in the daytime.
