pdhntr1I have always wondered about the origin of the term "sod poodles". This article shows it was around in the early '30s.
The best is rendered pd fat for boot and gun grease. I just can't see, even at that time in our history, someone going through the process of killing, skinning and rendering pds for boot grease. (I sure hope that wasn't my grandfather)
