Hey, based on life expectancies, they are saying that 80 is the new 65. I understand that the idea of retirement at 65 was based on how long the average worker was expected to live.

New data, read today on the Internet NY Times: US average life expectancies are 89 for women, 84 for men.
I guess we'll be reading these grumblings and reminiscences for a few more years.

Actually, it also means that we are taking better care of ourselves, getting outdoors more, exercising, eating better, etc.
I for one am trying for the top 10% who will live past 95, per the Social Security Administration, since I have a four-year-old to raise for several more years.
