NaphtaliThe worst night club in motion picture history?
Unfortunately for this thread, I believe my selection is
the selection. The Monaco Bar & Grill, located in the United States of Africa in the motion picture "Jake Speed," is so far beneath whatever I can imagine might be in second place, I doubt there
is a second place.
From a skewed perspective, it is also the most fascinating club in motion picture history.
Beat it if you can.

Naphtali"Jake Speed" has been my brother's favorite adventure-comedy since its release. When I saw his VHS tape of it, I realized he had something.
Imagine James Bond as a regular guy who earns his living by adventuring - then writing paperback novels (like the book series of Matt Helm, Destroyer, etc.) about the adventure. When Speed presents this premise in the movie's dialogue, it sounds plausible, even reasonable. And now we descend into the rabbit hole.
When we enter the Monaco Bar & Grill with the protagonist and the person he intends to help, the place is beyond easy description - a jazz band that is so bad it's good, more smoke and haze than a forest fire, guns everywhere, and, of course, a corpse sitting quietly at one of the tables. And then it becomes interesting.
Having viewed the movie more than a dozen times, it is my belief that it did poorly at the box office and was disparaged by reviewers at its release because the wry tongue-in-cheek humor flew over their heads. James Bond can't carry Speed's desert boots.
