Was this double murder solved?
During William Clinton's time as governor of Arkansas, I believe in the late 1980s, two young boys were murdered, their corpses found adjacent to the Mena Airport. Was this double murder solved? If it was, please furnish brief details. If it was not, how diligently is its solution still being pursued?

There was a book written on Clinton's activities in AR, titled "Compromised". There was a chapter on the boys killed on the railroad tracks.

Mena, Arkansas is the armpit of the world and I'm being charitable.

A decade or so ago, I was called in to help with a ridiculous verdict of about $98 million if I recall in Mena. After reading the record, most of the jury were "chicken catchers" by profession, or drove "chicken trucks".

The judge absented himself from the charge conference and defense counsel didn't make an adequate record. Why wouldn't the judge be there to do his job?

It was all a freakin' joke. No surprise Billy Jeff was once the governer.

But the residents of the great state of Arkansas truly revere Clinton. While I was there, they were building the Clinton library. There was a vacant lot caty-corner to it and I asked my local lawyer who I could talk to about buying it.

He was very suspicious -- bear in mind, this is MY local counsel -- I said I wanted to open a cigar store with hostesses in blue dresses.

I was pretty much ostracized after that.

It would have been a great concept, especially across the street from the Clinton library. Great souvineer opportunity.

The fact that Clinton is revered just shows how superficial and hypocritical liberals are. The guy was a philandering liar and they adore him.

I don't know where they're coming up with all these people that revere him (and her). The ones I've talked to said they voted for him to be president to get him the hell out of Arkansas.

The Wall Street Journal did a big story on this incident quite a while ago.

I recall that the Medical Examiner who declared these boys died on the train tracks while they were napping on them was Joycelyn Elders, later appointed Surgeon General by Bill Clinton.

I've never thought that.

The amazeing thing to me, and maybe it shouldn't be, is that with all the other indicators of criminality that were well known such as Whitewater and various people dieing during the Clinton administration, that there were enough lame brained people to put him in the White House for a second term.
