Boxing?
ESPN runs some classic bouts: Robinson, Lewis, LaMotta, even Dempsey from 1918. It's interesting to see how styles have changed. Also, in the Dempsey match, how rules have changed.
Dempsey knocked down the challenger a half dozen times. In several, the KO was "saved by the bell." In others, the referee was holding Dempsey back while counting for the knockdown. As soon as the opponent rose to his feet, Dempsey would step past the referee and bludgeon the guy before he'd even gained his balance.
No "eight count." No "neutral corner."
And then Ringside gets into "Greatest Moments" or whatever and review a boxer. Burt Sugar and some boxers, coaches . . .
Good stuff!

SIR MAUSERI love 'classic boxing' as well. You can find a lot on You-Tube. Dempsey was one aggressive fighter.

SteveGlMe too, but there're plenty of great fighters around today. Plenty. I still don't understand why there isn't a boxing forum here.
As far as I'm concerned, boxing has gotten the same ill treatment that hunting has over the past few decades.

cable68Boxing seems to be less popular these days, especially with the rise of MMA fights. I have a hard time watching those; too much rolling around on the floor trying to choke the other guy.
