Ah To Be Plumber In France!

When I was in England in the late 60's, there was an American air base not far from where we were.

One day we read in the local papers that a man has gone to the police complaining that two American women from the air base have picked him while hitch hiking, and raped him.

The funny part was both women were young, and very good looking.

I think there was quite an upsurge of young men hitch hiking close to the air base after that report.

The man did not have much sympathy, but I cannot remember how the court case turned out.

Speaking of plumbers.....years ago when I was doing pipefitting we were on a H.B. Zachery job out in a B.F compound.The lead plimber told me this tale. We all worked in the compound + thus had oiur families with us living in quonset huts. One afternoon this one plumber had just got off work + was taking a shower while his wife was fixing supper. He hears her scream + comes running out butt naked + wet to see the problem was. Well,the trap had come loose under the sink was all. So he gets down on his hands + knees to reattach same when the family cat came by,saw his hanging goods + gave them a swat.His 1st reaction was to raiuse his head + thus cracked it on the steel sink putting him out colder than a wedge. Head wounds do bleede + the wife panics + calls the EMS. the guys show up,strap him on the guerney + inquire what happened. She tells them + they can't stop laughing + end up dropping the guerny thus breaking his arm. He wakes up in the hospital remembering the last thing was looking at a j trap.
