What did she do get all of the negative press coverage? I was hunting and missed out on the food fight.

I wonder how anyone interviewing her would answer if they were asked the same question?

dogcatIt must be the dreaded "N" word. Lord forbide the freedom of speech gets trampled. I heard worse things at a Red Sox baseball game....

ted thornFreedom of speach is only free to the poor
If you are in the public eye each and every sentence you use is looked at for fault
When you become famous you loose your freedom to do many things we all take for granted

arkypeteOne of my chums posted a notice that all of the folks who have not used the forbidden word in the past 30 years to meet in the phone booth at the corner of Libby and Broad here in Richmond on the east corner.

Matt NormanObviously a slow news month.
With no election to hype and war news getting old the mega media has to drum up something to cover 24/7 and get the masses to pay attention to.
Right now they are fanning the Zimmerman embers trying to get a riot going. Anything it takes to get business.

fla3006Like the Zimmerman trial, most of the Paula Deen hoopla was part of the lame-stream media's attempt to divert attention from Obama's numerous scandals.

No, she didn't lose her freedom of speech but there were penalties for what she said.
Regarding social and political things in general, it's interesting how some believe that they change facts by changing what they call something.
At one time the words moron, imbecile and idiot were acceptable descriptive words words for what are now called "special" people. Even the term "mental retardadation" is falling out of favor.
Interestingly, the word that caused such consternation in a certain camp has been commonly used among themselves. Also interestingly, if Paula Deen had used a word that's illegal to speak on the other other than the one she used, she probably would have been OK.

Yes and I am absolutely thrilled.
I can't stand the Bitch.
Of course what makes it sweeter (pun intended) is how she lost it.................so wrong, yet makes me so happy.
Just use the word "president" instead.
There are two types of people in the world: those that get things done and those who make excuses. There are no others.

Cazador humildeOh, but according to Rachel Jeantel, the now famous Zimmerman trial witness for the prosecution, "nigga" means any male of any race. She said so on Piers Morgan last night. (No, I don't watch it. It was just on the news this morning.) And "Crazy ass cracka" (her explicit spelling) means police or security guard.
I knew our nation's education system was out of whack, but until I heard this girl speak, I didn't realize how truly awful it has become.
And what "collaborative" writer is going to be lucky enough to pick up HER book deal?

bullwallerI know one thing for sure ,you better not use that often said word on any of these forums or somebody will ban you. Freedom of speach ain't free unless you say it with a gun in your hand.
Shoot first. Never trust horses or women and very few mules.

NormanConquestYep,happened to me + it was only an inflection. Had to restart in new member status. BTW,while sitting in the dentists waiting room they had a People mag. that said what she had said. First I have heard of it. She was asked if she had ever used the n word.
She said yes. When? She said it was years ago when she was working as a bank clerk + this black dude had a gun to her head while he was robbing the bank.Asked if she called him that, she replied,of course not!!! I only mentioned it to my husband that night after I got home.Reminds me of Lenny Bruce's trial + tribulation in the mid 60's.Judge said you said a filthy 7 letter word. Bruce said ,what was it? Judge says We won't mention that word in this courtroom, you know what it is.Bruce says how can I know if you won't tell me? Judge:find him in contempt of court. Abbott + Costello could'nt have done better.
Never mistake motion for action.
