I'm bored, & broke...
I was sitting around this afternoon thinking about some way that a lazy man like me, with a background in hunting and the outdoors could make a low six-figures salary plus lots of free hunting trips to Africa and the rest of the world.

Because, I am waaaaaaaaaaaay too old for a paper route.

I am too lazy to steal, and besides; the current administration hates competition.

I sleep too soundly at night to deal drugs, and I have a fear of being tortured to death.

The thought finally hit me. My Email and snail mail boxes are flooded with invitations to be a charter member of some made up outdoors NPO*

I am looking for a catchy name, that would draw at least 50,000 potential ahem members.

I would start my own records keeping arm, and make the minimum entry scores really low. Like, if you actually killed anything bigger than a ground squirrel and can produce a photo of yourself and the dead animal.

The really good ones are already taken, NAHC, Long Range Hunters Assn, SCI and DSC, HRAA (the Historical Rifled Arms Assn) one of my favorites. Most of these are legit, to at least some extent, but there are a few that look suspiciously like the BBB needs to review.

I did settle upon a name, what do you gentlemen think about the International Firearm Shooting Society? IFSS has sort-of a ring to it.

Until the end of April annual memberships are available for $39.95, three years for $100, and the coveted Life Memberships in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

regards,

The Illustrious Potentate,

You're missing out on the LARGE number of LGBTTT shooters out there... something rainbowy and sparkly... maybe special grips and forearms that reduce limp wristing... or super silencers that don't hurt their delicate ears... or blast shields that won't blow nasty dust up their skirts... lots of things to adapt to their "shooting" style...

You could become a "Used Wife" dealership. That might go real well in some parts of the country.

How about a book about your combat experiences.

Idaho;
There's plenty of organizations that keep records of people who have bagged huge game with small calibers.
How about records of people who have bagged small game with huge calibers. Even if you picked up a 155mm projectile and dropped it on a field mouse it would count.
This would inspire me to go squirrel hunting next fall with a Siamese Mauser 45-70 using 500 grain Lyman cast bullets.

What kind of a secret handshake would a LBGTTT organization have?

you probably aren't old enough to remember the "Dap" black folks used in the 60's-80's as a greeting.

Ours would be similar.

Grasp hands as if you were going to thumb wrestle, tap the thumbs together, open the hands partially and slide halfway up the fore arm and clasp again. Loosen the grip, slide the hands back down to wrist level, and high five. Ending by making the hand into a pistol and firing while pointing towards the sky.

I hope you understand that the age group that you're directing your efforts toward would have problems remembering the different steps to the secret handshake.

there'll be a walk-thru on the website. Scroll down to membership benefits, double click on handshake, and view the video.

I'm currently in negotiations with Mark Sullivan to do the promo with "Uncle Bob".

Your membership ID will be required to open this thread to prevent the morbid from taking the URL down with repeat views.

You guys have to forgive Rich for his self pity. We have had two weeks of a temperature inversion here in SW Idaho. I think he is suffering from some cabin fever! Whistling

Rich - I know this is all in fun, BUT the book idea someone suggested just might be a "for real" thing? Will you be at SCI?

Have you thought about day-trading??

There you can take a 10K investment and turn it into -0- in your spare time using nothing more than your computer...
