Arthur "Bull" Simons
Lt. Col. Arthur "Bull" Simons was the commander of attempted rescue of American POWs in Son Tay prison and commander of Ross Perot's rescue of two Electronic Data Systems' senior staff in Teheran in 1978. How is his last name pronounced - with a short "I" as in the word "is," or a long "I" as in the word "China?"

When simons was commanding the 7th SFG, he promoted every 2nd LT to 1st LT.
Word is that he said "I'm NOT having any God Damn Brown Bars in this outfit!"
