Idaho SharpshooterIt is officially Christmas here in the Shire...
The boys came over and we got our slender 8ft tall Douglas Fir set up, and wrapped in lights with six decades of ornaments hung.
Then, we went to see 3D Hobbit movie. It was very, very good. Animation and graphics were outstanding, and the story flowed from one stage to the next.

CrazyhorseconsultingSounds like you folks had a great time. Lora and I want to go see the second installment of the Hobbit, but we are fixing to leave out for Colorado so I can do a late season cow elk hunt.

BoxheadHere too. I woke up early, went to the garden and picked some tomatoes and jalapenos, washed down the patio, grabbed a James Squire 150 Lashes beer and hopped in the pool. Haven't seen a Christmas tree yet. I am guessing 'cuz they don't grow down here...

ShackWe're going to relax out at the farm and just enjoy watching the sun setting through the winter woods. Beats any painting I've ever seen.
We've been talking about doing a tree there. It'd be a cedar that's decorated with natural stuff found in the woods or things that can be left behind. I'm thinking a string of popcorn and some nuts and pine cones or whatever. I may carve a star for the top.
The wife made a wreath for the cabin door out of cedar boughs and holly from the woods.
..the other evening we were eating and a deer ran right through our camp...I believe it'd been watching us for quite a while.
