Whores In Nevada? Because It's Legal --
Storey County, just outside Las Vegas, minimum age for a state legal prostitute is 18 yrs old.
And so my question would be: What sort of woman opts to work as a prostitute at 18 yrs old?
-- And can I get her number?

In South Africa, girls as young as 12yrs old are sent out by their mother or some other family member to work as prostitutes. Usually the money is to finance someone elses drug addictions etc.

How about the 54th Governor of the state of New York, among others. (Of course prosecutors in the case decided not to press charges). Oh yeah, and he has admited to all other sorts of hanky panky too, whether it was an illegal loan from his dad for campaign funds or instructing the State Police to make a report on a political opponent designed to discredit him.

Idaho SharpshooterDoes the words narcissistic or self-centered ring a bell? Prostitution is like live interactive porn. Pay some chick, you don't have to care how she likes it; or not. Can't sodomize your wife as a general rule, she don't play that game. Or masturbating while she pees on you, the funny clothes and sex toys... Higher prices get you women you used to only see in Playboy. You do not, as they say have to "engage" emotionally.

Storey County is not just outside Las Vegas. Storey borders Washoe and Lyon Counties, which are 400-some miles north of Las Vegas. Storey, Lyon and Washoe are near Reno. Las Vegas is in Clark County. Prostitution is not legal in Clark County. You have to go to Pahrump, which is about an hour's drive from Vegas, to go to a whorehouse. Prostitution may be legal in Washoe County, but the map at which I am looking does not show the county lines of Storey and Washoe in enough detail for me to say definitively if the Wildhorse Saloon (
http://www.thewildhorse.com/) and Mustang Ranch are in one or the other. I have been in the Wildhorse and the Mustang. The decor in both of them is off the charts. The owners spent a fortune on furnishings-- stuff you're not likely to see anywhere beyond House Beautiful or Architectural Digest magazines. Just fabulous.
Yeah; we have whorehouses. We voted them in by constitutional vote in 1969 and 1971. Our constitution requires we vote twice to make something like that constitutional. Makes for a very slow-moving government-- just like the Founders and Framers wanted...

A man does not pay a prostitute for sex, he pays for her to leave after he's done.

muzzaif there were no prostitutes in the world your wife/daughter/sister/mother would not be able to go outside at night for fear of getting raped.
Prostitution is societies safety valve , like it or not.
Mr Foobar - do you really beleive your statement ? Woman have been selling their bodies since they first discovered they were sitting on a marketable commodity , and men have been paying for sex for just as long.
Not everyone is handsome , savvy with the ladies , or whatever , and beer may help, but at the end of the day a guy can always pay for sex and there is always a woman wanting to sell.
Moralising about it wont change it - it is what it is - a financial transaction involving the supply of a service.
as an aside - there arnt too many prostitutes in my small town - why would you pay when so many slappers here give it away for free...?

Greed is the base of all criminal activities, prostitution being one activity that can be ran by criminals because hypocrisy reigns in some societies.

Probably even the crimes committed daily in our Congress....but then again, most of them are whores to begin with. How much would you pay to screw Nancy Pelosi?

In poker (Nevada) this is called a "tell."

I just glanced at a map of Nevada, counties . . . It may have been on the TV screen.
Here's the map. Storey County is in ironic, whorehouse red:
I do believe "Mustang Ranch" is in Storey Co. I also understand that prostitution is unlawful in Las Vegas (County by county regulation?), and moreover it's unlawful to solicit or advertise in Las Vegas.
But I have no first hand experience.
As for "paying to leave" . . . A friend of mine refers to alimony as "The screwing you get for the screwing you got."

Guillermo AmestoyOn 16 May 1969 someone broke into Bonavena's trailer and stole some of his personal papers. Apparently believing that Joe Conforte had arranged the break-in, the hot-tempered Bonavena showed up at the Mustang Ranch six days later and demanded to see the owner, or else. One of Conferte's men, a former con, chose the latter option: he shot Bonavena in the chest
with a .30-06 rifle and killed him. The gunman, Willard Rose Brymer, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and served two years in prison.

LissauerI thought DC was one giant whore house.
We're considering a "road trip" later this spring. Vegas primarily, but I'm taking my American Express and a camera.
13 March 2010, 04:50
LRH270It's Illegal in Clark County (Las Vegas), Washoe County (Reno), and Carson City/County. The Bunny Ranch is just over the line from Carson into Lyon County; the Mustang was just over the line from Washoe in Storey County; the Chicken Ranch and Sherrie's are 70 miles or so from Vegas in Nye County.
In addition to the ones listed above there are also service establishments in Ely, Elko, Beatty, Mina, Armogosa Valley, and probably some others I haven't driven by yet

The way I always heard it was "The only difference between free sex and sex you pay for, is that sex you pay for is cheaper."

homebrewerDid you click on the link, Bill? It tells of a match Oscar had with Ali in December 1970-- 19 months after he was killed. Ali barely beat him...

Guillermo AmestoyOhhh Yesss: "The following year, in 1968, Bonavena challenged Frazier for his version of the heavyweight title in Frazier's hometown of Philadelphia. After a grueling fifteen rounds, Bonavena lost the rematch by decision. Two years later, he fought Ali, in the former champ's second bout after his three-year layoff, at Madison Square Garden. Taking the fight to Ali, Bonavena managed to slip past most of his punches and had the match in doubt until a left hook from Ali in the 15th and final round knocked Bonavena down for the first of three times.
The knockout by Ali was the only time in Bonavena's career he was stopped.Regards Bill.
