ZephyrNew Knife
In the fall of 2014 went to Australia to take part in a Buffalo Cull Hunt. Brought back a couple of horns to use for various projects.
Here is one of them
A local Blade Smith put together this Pattern welded knife for me using 1084 and 15n20. Had fun coming up with the shape, size, metal and was there while he folded and hammer forged the metals together.
Pictures taken with an I Phone and does not do justice to the final product. This knife dressed to pigs this fall with out losing it's edge..

meteThat handle looks fine !
The 1084/15n20 steel mix is a favorite one for smiths , for good reason ! Easy to forge yet makes a very practical blade.

ZephyrInteresting in that when this handle gets wet with "stuff" in becomes some what tacky.

Perhaps you should have used the buffalo's foreskin, and it would have gotten longer?
Nice knife, BTW.
