Re: knife for boar hunting
FOR BOAR HUNTING I USE COLD STEEL MAGNUM TANTOS RECON TANTO TRAIL MASTER OR APPLEGATE SMATCHET ALTOUGH BOKER IS MARVELOUS FOR THE TASK .ALWAYS USE A BIG KNIFE WITH STRONG POINT.I DONT LIKE OLD STYLE BOWIES OR FACONS FOR THIS USE.JUAN

I'll never hunt pig with a knife but I'm curious. The knives you mention have blades 10 -12" long.Wouldn't a longer knife be better to reach the vital organs ? Exactly where is the best place to thrust the knife ? Would a double edged one be better ? The old leaf sword design with a blade about 22" comes to mind.

NO THE KNIVE CANT BE A SWORD BECAUSE ITS TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE DOGS SO NO MORE THAN 15'' DOUBLE EDGED NOT BOWIES I PREFER A STRONG DROP POINT.JUAN THE LOCALIZATION OF THE ZONE IS BEHIND FROTN LEG AS IN NORMAL HUNTING SHOOTS
