NaphtaliReplace stag handle?
I have custom-made stag-handled sheath knives with fiber spacers whose basis configuration strongly resemble a Randall #5. These have full narrow tang with threaded end nut. I want to have handles rendered as stabilized wood or Micarta® or G10. And, if possible, remove the stag intact - although this is not mandatory. The maker is not available.
Please identify knife makers or knife repairer/restorers who do this. I prefer someone in western Montana, but, again, this is not mandatory.

GatogordoIMO it's going to be difficult to save the stag, but it might be possible to drill down the tang and loosen it up enough to get it off in one piece. That's assuming it was put on with epoxy.
I would suggest that you post this in Bladeforums. Many knifemakers go there and they certainly could do it, if they wanted to take the time off of their own work.
What you're asking to be done is not really all that difficult and I'm sure you could do it yourself if you wanted to attempt it, even if it took a try or two, it would then be your work and you can buy blocks of Micarta pretty cheap.
