doubledownWhat can you tell me about ZDP-189 stainless steel
I wanted some of the knife experts and experienced hands to give me thier opinion on this "super steel" I just bought a Zero Tolerance ZT 350 folder with this steel and don't have enough field use with it yet to draw an opinion.
It will be my new pocket knife this hunting season, and will get a good work out, I am interested to see if it holds an edge better than my Cold Steels, or if ZDP-189 stainless steel is all hype.

twarrenZDP-189, a premium Japanese powdered super-steel made by Hitachi, hardened into the mid & upper Rc 60s, with very high carbide volume. Along with S90V, it boasts some of the best edge-holding of any steel on the market.

doubledownThanks for the info on this steel. I will probably get the diamond rods for my sharpmaker, this knife gives me an excuse. I want to see how the edge holds up to skinning next week.
