Japanese Hattori knives
Anyone own one ? any opinions on them ? i believe they only make a limited number each year .

Most of then are made In SEKI city. thay have a long tradition for making geat knives. Many knife manufactures have their blades made there.

I recently bought the 2004 limited edition version (No.113 of 200) of the HT-05 shown on the e-bay link. The limited edition may be in VG10 rather than AUS8 though.

Haven't put it to use outdoors so cannot comment on function but like all Hattoris (the couple I have seen) it's well put together.

Since I would use it as a camp knife, I would have preferred a shorter swedge and a slightly longer handle.
