Triple-Shocks in the 7x57
Does anyone have a pet load for the Barnes 120 gr triple-shocks in their 7x57?

I shoot 140 TSX's in mine with 52.5 H414 in a VERY long throated Ruger and Mauser. They are just shy of 3000 fps. I also use only Win. brass and there is a major difference in volume between it and Rem. Start at about 48 grains and work up till you are in the 2900 fps range and you are there.

Not in the rimless 7x57 but in my K95 7x57R I've used the .284" 120 gr. Barnes TSX's which ought to give you a good starting point.

Bye-the-Bye, the bullet performance on Roe (very small) & Fallow Deer (larger) is outstanding, too.

47.0 grs. H-4350 crimped w/LFDC in the front "band" or cannelure.
49.0 grs. VV N-160 - same -
51.0 grs. VV N560 - same -

Haven't chronographed the loads yet but the proof is in the Pudding - they certainly kill above mentioned game like a Bolt of Lightning.

D,
I use 53gr of IMR 4350 with the Barnes 120gr TS in my Win M70 7x57. Shot a bear with one shot using this bullet along with several deer. The 120 TS worked great. Using it again on monday for deer on the early buck seasom here in WA state.
