This is from an e-mail from Lapua:

You can try maximum loads from these combinations, but be cautiuous as these are quite close to the 6.5x55 maximum loads. However, if you have the original Swedish Mauser, I do not recommend any hot loads for it.

Recovered after traveling through the thick skull of a 250 lbs Boar and then lodging in his leg [he was looking to the side]. These bullets are as tough as anything I have ever shot in my 6.5

scottfromdallasLove the 155 Mega for the 6.5x55. I loaded mine with 38.5 of R15 which gave me a mild 2450 from a 20.5" barrel. Shot this guy at about 130 yards quartering to me. He ran about 20 yards with a nice blood trail. Great bullet.

333_OKHExcellent. Now thats just what I am talking about. I bought 500 slugs of the 6.5 155 grain Lapua Mega for reloading. Perfect bullet.

Scott,
Is that a CZ 550 I see in the background of the picture of that nice buck?
I'm asking because I was wondering if that long bullet will stabelize in the CZ twist rate?
If it is a CZ that you are using, I figure that answers the question.
BTW, I've used the Mega bullets in the 9.3 and 308, and they are excellent bullets IMO. I'm gonna try some of the 200 gr .308 bullets in my 308 Win barrel - the one with the 10" twist.

joe25/06IIRC, Scott has a 550 full stock. I may have to try some of those bullets. Anybody know of the cheapest prices on some?

KabluewyI tried several brands and weights of bullets in my CZ, and the load it's sighted in for now is the 140gr Sierra boat tail. When I tried them at the range, the accuracy was so good that it only made sense to get it sighted in, since I have two boxes of 100 each.

Mine came from Graf and Sons a few years ago.
