Winchester brass
CCI #4BR Primer
20.0 IMR-4198
52gr Sierra HPBT bullet
Average Velocity 3080fps
Shoots in the 2s & 3s with every group. I tried the same load with Remington and Federal primers and had mixed results. I know of 3 different rifles this load is being shot in and each is getting great results.
Next I want to try this same load with the 53gr Sierra.
Enjoy!

rootbeerLay something on me for a .223 semi-auto in a 24" barrel (my AR-15 varmint upper, to be exact). I have experience with AA2230 and AA2200 data powder, which was a "hot" batch of AA2230 about 4-1/2 years ago; I still have lots of an 8-pound bottle left.

MuleriderMy Colt 24" flattop match rifle, which I use in NRA HighPower competition, has the 1:9 twist and loves the 53MK's. I use 24.5gr of AA2200, and other than some 69 and 77MK's (on top of Varget), that's about all that gun has seen. It will shoot the 53's into 0.4" at 100 yds. I self-moly most of my bullets; if not back off the 53MK load to 24.0gr.
I believe AA2200 is a totally separate powder from any 2230, and Accurate put out plenty of data for it. There has to be 100+ lbs among our Club members. I personally have used 12+lbs, all in my Colt.
