.260 Remington
Two loads both with the 129 Hornady. 43.0 grains of H414 gets a good 2900 in a 24 " barreled rifle. 44.0 grains of H380 in a 19 " barreled carbine, velocity very close to 2800. WLR primers and Remington cases for both.

Dad's building a 260 for silhouette. Do you have any good loads for 140gn Sierra match kings HPBTs?

for my 260 it goes as follows:
41 grs. of imr 4064 with 120 Nosler BT
at 3,025 fps shoots .25 to .5 inch groups

37.5 grs. of imr 4064 with 142 gr Sierra MK
at 2650 fps shoots .20 to .375 inch groups

The 41 grs,-imr4064 is this over max?I looked at the Nosler loads and they gave 39 grs.max.
I have a ruger markII in 260 and still working on a perfect load.I am using Imr 4350 44grs, 120 BT now shoots very good. But a lot slower.

Favorite long range load:
I use 43.5 gr of H4350 with moly 139 Lapua bullets in Lapua .243 brass with the bullets seated just touching the lands. I won't brag how good it shoots but it does. In a 29" barrel I get 2920 fps, excellent brass life.

Favorite mild load (CPT):
35.5 gr N140, 108 Lapua. 2750 fps. Lapua .243 brass
