Ed Scarboro30-378 Weatherby
I like the fast 30's, particularly the 30-378 Weatherby. I have 4 Weatherby's in 30-378 and I have listed the favorite load for each. All loads use Fed 215M primers.
101gr of RL22, 180gr Swift A-Frame
101.5gr of RL22, Barnes Triple Shock
100gr of RL22, 180gr Sierra Pro Hunter
101gr of RL22, 180gr Sierra Pro Hunter
I have tried IMR7828 and retumbo powder but have not gotten the accuracy that I get with the RL22.

Ed ScarboroWell...good deals mostly. I bought the first Accumark from a local dealer at about dealer cost. My son and I used it on a safari in Zimbabwe, bear hunts in Canada and he used it on a deer hunt in Texas. I didn't think I would get it back. The synthetic model sat on the shelf of another local dealer for several years collecting dust. I walked in one day and told the owner of the store he should just sell it to me for his cost to get rid of it...and he did. I bought the last two Accumarks used for $800 each with rings, bases and a partial box of shells (the first box for both). If you don't reload, they are expensive to shoot. Good things get cheap in bad economic times.

Canadian reloarderI also have a 30/378. It's a MkV Syn. I use the 200gr Nosler Part with a Fed 215 and 114grs of H 870. Vel runs at 3265 ft/sec and accuracy is MOA. Of all the powders I have tried with this round ( H870--H 5010--RL22--H1000---IMR7828--)H870 is my hands down favorite. I relaise it is discontunied, but would be worthwhile to try and locate some.

Idaho SharpshooterH870 is just WCC 50 BMG. Check:
www.patsreloading.com and ask how many hundred-thousand pounds he has in 100lb kegs.
