223: Should I use RL-15 or RL-10??
Just started reloading 223 and have heard a bunch of folks commenting about the RL powders and can't for the life of me remember which one they were referencing...10 or 15. Shooting 55-69 grain bullets out of my AR-15, 1-9 twist.
Thanks in advance!

Hit their website and read the descriptions for each of their powders. Shouldn't take you long to find it or even an alternate...

You probably want RL-10X. Put your cursor on the little bottles pictured at the top of the webpage and read about each one...

R15 is one of the better powders for the heavy bullet .223 loads, but R10 may be a little too fast. Varget, H335, W 748 are but a few other good powders. Research a bit before committing to one powder.

For 50 grains and under. RL 10...

for 55 grains and over... RL 15...

in the 50 grains and under, don't discount RL 7!

For 68 grain match and over, I'd recommend Varget.. although I am usually a Hodgdon fan first... Varget does the best job in my experience for 68 to 80 grain match bullets...

Don't have a lot of experience with heavier bullets in .223 ... BUT, RL-15 works GREAT with 60 gr Nosler Partition.

A ton of highpower shooters use RL15.
