Thomas JonesGreat load for my .308 !
This will be the back up to my Ruger 77 RL in .257 Roberts, for deer, and might well serv the same purpose on a Rocky Mounyain Elk hunt in november ! IMR 4064 46 grains under the Barnes 168 grain Tripple shock. Load gives 2800 and about 3/4s at 100 yards. The rifle is a 1953 featherweight modle 70, with a Burris 3X9.
FF2. As I stated in my Roberts post, I have never shot a game animal with anything lighter than a 280, I would not be shocked if I ended up
using this as a primary, but my little roberts fits me so well and has a little better scope and the timney trigger is about perfect !!!...tj3006
