Realisticly the .338-378 weatherby

Hey guys my brother has been shooting a .340 for years and is now looking to buy a .338-378.

I know the case cap is a lot more but how much velocity will he get with propper hand loads.
I am sure he is going to buy one no matter what so share with me you findings and the loads you shoot. He is going to shoot nothing less than a 250 grainer with it.
