I need a 22-250 Load
I have a Rem 22-250 with a Carbon Bull Barrel i need a load or some ideas on what to start with to find the best load

I would start with 36.0 grs. of H380 and a 50 gr. Hornady SPSX and work up from there. What twist is the barrel and what are you planning to shoot? This load is what I use for prairie dogs.

++1. H380 is great in the 22-250.

Yes 50-55 grain bullets and 38 grains of H380 is made for a 22/250.
I've also been having good results with Varget powder too.

H-380 and the 22-250 have always seemed to work pretty well together but another coupe to try are 40.0 grains of Win 760 and Speer 52grain HP(substitute other 52 grain bullets and try also) and now whenever I have to work on a 22-250 and testing, I will start with 50 grain Nosler BT's or 50 grain VMaxs and VARGET at 35.5 grains. Seems to work pretty well in several rifles. GHD

Another vote for 38 gr. H380 and a 53 gr. "blitz" bullet. Devestating on groundhogs!

36 to 36.5 grains of IMR 3031 with a 50 grain bullet... work up tho..

got from an older load manual... but it was very accurate with just about any 50 grain bullet that I used...

oh, and if you chronograph it.. get ready for it to be a little faster than you thought it might be...

FWIW- My best load for MY 22-250 is 36 gr Varget behind a nosler 50 gr BT.

35.5gr of RL-15 behind a 52gr Berger Match.

I get good results from both H380 and Varget. My favorite load at the moment is 35.5gr. of Varget behind a 55gr. Sierra Sp #1360.

Yet another vote for H380 and a 55 gr bullet... (I really like nosler ballistic tips tumbled in moly)
H380 is good stuff in a 22-250!

34 grains IMR 4831
52 Grain Berger Varmint Match
Nosler brass
CCI Benchrest primers

Boringly consistant over huge temperature swings, something that I can't say about H380.
