.25/06 Load Data Needed
I am looking for your favorite .25/06 loads. I will be using the gun for varmint shooting, paper punching and WhiteTail hunting. I would like to hear your favorite loads using 75gr. to 120 gr. bullets. Thanks!

My rifle is a pre64 M70 Win. with a Shilen 24in./ 1-10 twist barrel. Here's a few I like and please start a coulpe of grains under these.
1) 87gr. Sierra- 54.5grs of IMR4350--3485fps.
2) 90gr. Sierra HP- 56grs.of IMR 4831--3475fps. This load shoots three shot one hole groups in my gun and is the load I shoot for coyote calling.
3) 100gr.Speer BT- 53grs. of IMR4350--3310fps.
4) 120gr. Speer Grand Slam--53grs. of old surplus H4831--just over 3100fps. This is a great deer load, but not all gun like the Grand Slam.
All loads use Win. brass and CCI #200 primers.

Hey Sharky,

Don't know how it'll work in your gun, or how safe it would be, but I load 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in front of 56 grains of IMR4831 in Rem cases and Rem 91/2 primers. They shoot into less than 1/2" in two of my three rifles. Works great on everything from rockchucks to big mulies.

For varmints, I use the Rem. 87 gr. HP, Rem. brass, Fed. 210 primer, and 58.0/H-4831. For deer and antelope, I use the 115 gr. Nosler partition, Rem. brass, Fed. 215 primer, and 54.5/IMR-7828. My rifle is a Rem. 700 Classic. The 115 gr. Partition load has also shot very well in 2 other .25-06s.

These loads are maximum in my rifle, so start a few grains below and work up.

I've been shooting Sierra's 100 gr Match King with 54 grains of H4831 SC with great results, in a Remington Sendero.
For a lot of years I shot buckets full of Speer's 100 gr. hollow points with 56 gr. of IMR or H 4831. This load was shot out of a Mark X barreled action in a target walnut stock. This sent a lot of groundhogs to thier reward.
I never tinkered with any other bullet weights for this caliber. Never saw the sense in shooting lighter bullets and I'd use a larger caliber for deer and such.
