browningguy7.65 Argentine
I'm of on a Russian Boar hunt next week (West Texas not Russia) so wanted to find a load for my model 1891 Argentine Mauser. It's a carbine, sporterized in the 50's with a peep site added. This load seems to work well with my rifle:
H4350 - 46 grains
CCI primer
Sierra .311 180 gr. RN bullet
No chrony so I can't give a velocity but it's shooting to the point of aim @100 yards. I mostly shot at 50 yd.s today because 100 is bad with my tired old eyes and no scope. This load seemed to give consistant 2" groups which is excellent for me with this rifle.
Your mileage may vary, work up to all loads.
