338 rum any favorite loads?
I've just acquired a Sendero SSF and I'm looking for pet loads for 338rum. I'm going to try 300g smk and 225g accubonds. I've got some Retumbo, H1000, and H50BMG powders and rem cases

R FlowersThe Remington Sendero in .338 RUM that I tested shot great with the 225 Accubond.
I had no luck getting that bullet to shoot in several other .338 caliber rifles. (338 Win Mags and 340 Wby mags) However the 338 RUM shot well under a half inch repeatedly with the 225 Accubond.
My load consisted of a Rem case, a Fed 215M primer, a max load of RL 25, and the 225 Accubond loaded to an OAL of 3.62". Velocity was 3163 over my chronograph and the groups were very impressive, I thought.
Those big guns will shoot if you can deal with the recoil.

PRDATORWile I have not shot the accubond my gun loves the 225 tsx with 99.5 gr of H1000!!!!!!!!!!
It did not like the rutumbo and magnum.
I rely think that H1000 may be the powder for the 338 rum!

Skidlyi see the new Hodgdon specs say to use H869 with 300 gr smk, anyone tried this? I have some to try now. I plan on loading the 225g Nosler AB with H1000
My left hand LSS seems to shoot book maximums with the most accuracy. The 210 Nosler Partition and H4831 are the best so far, but the 250s are edging up.

snowmanMy Sendero seems a little fussy. It likes RL 25 with the 250 Sierra Gameking. 3 shot groups about 3/4 inch @ 200 yds. Tried a number of other bullets and most were around 3 inches @ 200yds The 210 gr TSX will also shoot under 1 inch at 200 yds with RL 25.
