What's your favorite U.S. Cal. .30, M1 load
I would like to know what every one uses for your M1, In A 168gr. match or the 175gr. match. Like to know bullet type, and what powder. Or if you buy natl. match ammo

Shot 150 rds today with various loads to see if I could find a load that my M1 was really happy with and the one that stood out from them all was 46.8gr & 47.0gr of H4895...grouped 1.5" @ 100yds. No glass bedding, no match components. Cartridge was LC mil brass and confirmed weight 168.0gr Sierra Match King. When I say "confirmed" I mean to say that all bullets were categorized by .1grain difference and I used only the 168's. I could have used the others, i.e 167.9 or 167.8 as long as I remained consistent in these trials.

165 A-Max and Nosler competition, with 47gr of 4895 and CCI 48 primer. This functions well and seems to be as accurate as the old M1's I've put it through. Kudude
