45-70 and 223 rem loads

for 45-70
350 grain Hornady FN
reloader 7 with 49.2 grains at 1930 fps
marlin 1895ss with cci large rifle primers and win brass

223 rem
69 grain sierra HPBT
23 grains varget with bullet touching lands.
cci BR small rifle primers

Talk about two loads at the far end of the spectrum from each other... One little bullet load for extreme accuracy and the other big bullet load for lots of thump! I like 'em.

I'm using Remington's 405 JSP and RE-7 in my Guide Gun. Deer season came and went without a chance to test it on any critters.

My accuracy loads are mostly for the .308 Win, and I too favor Varget. Regards, Guy
