338 Lapua Mag
Norma Brass
Fed 215 magnum primers
88 gr of VVN560
250 gr Sierra BTSP
3000 fps at the muzzle

best group 3 in 3" at 500 yrds, overall averages just under 1 MOA in an unmodified Sako TRG-S. (no brake, so I have trouble shooting much more than 3 shot groups )

this is a maximum load

I use RCBS dies in my RCBS loaders (rockchucker & a progressive 2000), they work fine, but I don't really have anything else to compare it to.

I would just go with what has worked for you in the past (thats all I did )

Have fun

Hi Yoric, hi viking,
if you want to shot the best from your 338 Lapua you need Vihta n-560 powder (reloader 22 is also a good choise), Federal 215 primers and LAPUA brass. Norma brass are also good but you can't load very much why they will broken at high pressure, so if you want to shot max loads you need Lapua brass.
To shot 250g bullets (Lapua, Hornady or Sierra bullets) you can load MAX 92.0g of Vihta n-560 or 93.0g of Reloader 22.
This loads will give you great accuracy and (circa) 3100 fps velocity.
Sure, shooting with a good muzzlebrake will be a nice choise.
If you need more informations about the finnish 338 or other calibers send an e-mail.
ciao FAINA
