Has anyone had found a 130 gr. Nosler Accubond load for 30-06 that they like? I'm looking for one to use on a Coues deer hunt next year.

R J I have never shot the Accubond, but have shot the 125 gr. Nosler BT. with Hodgdon Varget and that worked very well in the 30-06. Try the Varget with the 130gr.

Different bullet, but my brother used to load the 130 Speer with H380.

I have shot a lot 130gr at coyotes in my 06 over the last 40 years.They are quite explosive may be the accubond will hold up better.But I dont think they are deer bullets.But they are accurate and will knock the snuff out of a coyote.Good to 300yds

I have shot bunches of deer with a 125g sierra, loaded with 56gH380 in my Ruger. extremely accurate and is a bomb when it hits a whitetail.

50.5gr 3031 with speer 130 HP.

My '06 has a longer throat and I've never been able to get decent groups with bullets less than 165 grains. It seems to prefer 180 and 200 gr bullets. So if you have trouble getting the bullets to group it may be that your gun doesn't like the smaller bullets.

I can't speak for Cup 'n Core bullet-oes 'cause I haven't tried the super-light bullets in a .30/06 Sprg. 'cept for the Sierra 110 grainers. Those bullets will blow up jackrabbits - Whew! Not a bullet I'd care to use on a Whitetail.

Having said that; Barnes 130 gr, TTSX's out of a .30/06 with a stiff charge of H-4350 is in a League all by itself. I've tried it and they are accurate and deadly but as good as those Barnes bullets are they still won't penetrate as well as heavier bullets due the speeds they're being driven.

I was going to suggest looking in the Barnes Manual for their 130/30-06 data s a starting point. I use their 130/300 Win Mag data for Barnes, GS Custom and Speer TNT bullets.
