<Highspeed226>Ruger .223 Compact
Any one have a favorite Coyote factory load for the Ruger .223 Compact with 16.5" barrel? Just bought one and have did not have good groups with 62gr. or 69 gr. Factory loads. New Leupold scope is mounted and shoot prone from bipod. Will try 55 gr. Remington loads tommorow. Please advise.

<MontanaMarine>If your rifle is twisted 1-12, you probably will have best accuracy with 55gr or lighter bullets.

<green 788>Go with 26.6 grains of W748 and the 55 grain bullets. If your rifle won't shoot this load sub MOA, you may need to have the bedding and other mechanics checked.
Go to this link and read the report of the development of this load, as well as comments by other shooters who have used it:

<green 788>And of course it helps to read the entire post, DAN! :eek
I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had asked for a
factory load. The Winchester "Varmint Pack" which can be had at Walmart for under 13 dollars (40 rounds) is good stuff. You should get MOA from it, or very close to it...
