8x68s
Started working with some RL 19 in my 8x68 with 200 bullets. Started @ 70 grs and worked up to 75grs. Getting close to max. 73,74 & 75 all grouped under an inch @ 200 yds.Haven't chronographed anything yet but this looks promising. Anyone else try this combo?

Ditto for me [Big Grin]

Hey snowman: Give me some data and I will run a "QuickLOAD" for you.

"QuickLOAD" predicts the following:

If you are loading a 200gr Nosler Partition @ 3.425" COL (CIP standard I believe) 75grs of Rl 19 is about 67,500psi [Eek!] @ a little better than 3000fps.(from a 24" barrel)

Backing off 1.5gr will bring things down to 63,000psi and about 2950fps.

If you give me the COL of the loaded cartridge, the length and make of the 200gr bullet and your barrel length, I will run it again for you.

Some of the slower powders such as Rl 22, Viht.N560 and Norma MRP will give better velocity @ lower pressure (According to "QuickLOADS" prediction)

Very interesting! This is a cartridge I have always believed would be an outstanding round for big stuff at long ranges! [Big Grin]

wildcat RWS cases,CCI250 primers,200 gr Speer bullets with 75 grs RL19. COL is 3 5/8 inches. My 8x68 is a Brno 602 with a huge magazine hence the longer overall length. No signs of excessive pressure on the primer at all.
