muzzle6.5-06 and 6.5x55
In the 6.5-06 I use 50.4 grs of RL-22 behind the 140gr Sierra. With the Swede I use 47grs of IMR4831 behind the same bullet. Proceed with caution etc.

dan belislein my 6.5-06 the most accurate load I've found so far is the sierra 140 gr bullet over 58 gr of H870. It's slow, but a tack driver. In the 6.5 X 55, well it depends on the rifle. One of them likes the Nosler 120 gr BT in front of 46.5 gr of H414 and the other prefers the 140 gr Nosler Part. in front of 49 gr of RL 22. - Dan

muzzleI know that I'm probably the only person in the world that this has happened to but in 6 different 6.5's (260,6.5x06 and 6.5 Swede) that I can't get any 120 to shoot well. Wish I could as I like the weight. My 260 loves 107 sierras with varget powder.

<Aussie Hunter>Muzzle,
I could not get my 6.5x55SE Sako to shoot the 107's with Varget. Only got 2900fps with max 42gr load. With H4350 and 49gr got 3100 and 0.35MOA @ 300m. This is after 50 shots in a new Sako Varmint.

muzzleJust for fun I tried the 107's out of my military 6.5x55 and the bullets came apart? Had to quit doing that!

EagleyeIn my 6.5-06, my pet hunting load is the 140 Partition pushed by 59 gr of H1000 [work up carefully, please.] My 6.5x55's dote on 46-47 grains of Vihtavuori N-160 behind almost any good 139/140 grainer. Regards, Eagleye

muzzleI have been shooting my 260 with 39 gr. of varget with a sierra 107. I have a 1000 yard range here at the house and have been having a ball shooting it at a 1000. Damn little bullet flies like it should know better but it really does shoot well.

<Cain R>With my 6.5 Swede I've been having excellent results with RL22 and RL19 with the Remington Core Loc, Hornady Interlock, Hornady A-Max and Sierra HPBT all in 140gr. The Tikka with A-Max bullets will put the first 5 shots from a cold barrel into a .568". With 46-47grs of RL22. BUT after 6 shots accuracy goes all to hell.

EagleyeDeerhunter; You certainly speak the truth about Norma MRP. I have some of it as well as it's predecessor Norma 205. Both are outstanding in the 6.5x55. Trouble is, MRP is hard to get here, and when available, very expensive, so it is not used extensively.

<whisler>In my 6.5x55 swiss (24"barrel)I am shooting 47gr of H1000, 129gr Hornady SP and am getting cloverleafs at 100yrs off rest. The h1000 also gives me about the same results with Hornady 140's and 1.4" groups with the Sierra 160gr SMP. What I need is a good powder for the 100 gr. any suggestions????

<bigbelly>140gr partition, rem cases or re-formed rem 06`s(in the pre-rem & win 6.5 days poor people made do)wlr,46gr reloader 19.sub 1" in my model 38 all the time, not now as I can`t see opens as well but I`d still feel comfortable with it if I had no 9.3x62 with 2.5x8 vari-x 3 on it.

caleathI use 53 grs of H4350 with a 120 gr Nosler BT. 3200 fps in my 6.5/06. 58.0 grs of 3100 with a 100 gr Bt is good too.
