.308 loads that have worked for me...
Here's some loads that are working well for me in my .308. It's a blueprinted 700 w/ a 22" Krieger #5 barrel, in a McMillan Sporter stock. All loads are in Lapua brass with Fed 210M primers. Bullets are seated lightly into the lands.

150gr Sierra BTSP and between 44.5 and 45.5gr R15.

44.5gr went .524" @ 100
45.0gr went .462" @ 100
45.5gr went .433" @ 100

175gr Sierra Matchking and 43.5 - 44.0gr R15.

43.5gr has averaged .572" for five groups at 100 yards.
44gr went .434" @ 100.

178gr Amax and 43gr R15 went .424" @ 100.

165gr Hornady Interlock and R15.

43gr went .537"
43.5gr went .781"
44gr went .638"

Lord, please grant me the strength to change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I've been playing with RL15 myself the last two weeks. Trying to work-up an accurate load for target and one for hunting in 150gr weight.Found that 45.8 gr. was best in my 22" barrel with both 150SMK's and 150 Accu Bonds. Winchester brass and CCI BR2 primers help produce a 2850fps, pleasant to shoot, and accurate, load.

I have used the below listed 308 load, or seen it used in many 308 rifles over the years, including hunting bolt rifles, "Sniper" bolt rifles, target bolt rifles, Savage 99's Remington 742's Winchester 100's, M1-A's FN-Fal,s, 308 M1 Garands, & H&K 91's.

165 or 168 gr bullets, over 39.5gr of IMR 3031, with CCI ro Federal Match Primers.

This is not a hot load but I have killed antelope with it to 550 yards with the 165 gr Sierra HPBT, in a Steyr SSG.

Also a 150 gr bullet and 42 gr of IMR 3031 hits the same place at 100 yards as most military 308 ball ammo.

My very accurate Lothar Walther (SS, match bbl.) rebarreled Ruger 77 Mk II VT shot these 5-shot groups at 100 m, loaded with 168 MK / N 140 / 41.5:

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.
