<BerksWildlifeMgt>Loads For 22PPC
I am about to acquire Sako Varmint 22PPC for use for long range (300 yards) crows and foxes. Would appreciate any info that someone may have regarding a load for this round?

<1LoneWolf>IMR 4198 or H322 Powders are great starting places. These two are known for their performance in the 22PPC.
One really good load was a Federal match primed, SAKO brass, neck turned, with a Hornady 53 grain M HP, and 22.7 grains of 4198. Chrony on it, read 3321 on average of 10 shots.
That was from a semi custom rifle, SAKO action, Hart Barrel 24", 2.5 ounce trigger. Barrel was 1 in 14 twist.

<daveinmt>I shoot 50 VMAXs, WSR & 28.6 AA2460. Velocity is about 3475, and results on our local ground squirrels are very impressive. I tried a lot of different lods for this gun, but have not deviated from what I've listed here in a few years. It works great.
