New Year's Day Loads for 30/06 & 7x57
Last evening, New Year's Day, since my wife and kids were on the computer and I thus couldn't waste time with Accuratereloading, I went to the basement and loaded some rounds:

30/06
180 gr. Sierra SPBT
60 gr. H4831
Remington brass
Federal 210 primer
Overall length: 3.30"
Crimped with Lee Factory Crimp Die

7x57
139 gr. Hornady SPBT
43 gr. IMR4064
Remington brass
Federal 210 primer
Overall length: 3.08"
Crimped with Lee Factory Crimp Die

Maybe next week I can get to the range and let you know how well these shoot.

I'll shoot the 30/06 in a Remington 700 CDL, and the 7x57 in a Ruger 77 MKII.

I carry a load of 44 grains of 4064 in with a 140 grain ballistic tip in my 7 x 57 Win Featherweight.. it shoots anything accurately, but I like that load.. MV is 2800 fps right on the nose...

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."
